Lost in translation?
I recently purchased a Canon Power adapter for my camera and while I dont normally read safety warnings for such items (who does) I happened to glance at these and noticed they were really trying to make a point.
Now, either this power adapter is really dangerous or something got lost in the translation. There are 26 instructions in all. I was drawn to the first 16. In particular the 8 intructions pertaining to actually reading and following the instructions.
- 1. Read these instructions
- 2. Keep these instructions
- 3. Heed all warnings
- 4. Follow all instructions
- 13. Read instructions – All the safety and operating instructions should be read before the product is operated
- 14. Retain instructions – The safety and operating instructions should be retained for future reference
- 15. Heed Warnings – All warnings on the product and in the operating instructions should be adhered to
- 16. Follow instructions – All operating and maintenance instructions should be followed.
Overly cautious?
